What time period does the series take place?
The Rings of Power is not based directly on a book by J.R.R. Tolkien, but rather in the vast backstory that exists in the appendices of the original trilogy of The Lord of the Rings.
The production takes place in the Second Age of Middle-earth, the production takes place long before the events of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings. In the video are presented some of the main characters and environments that we will have in the series.
